Explore creativity, improve confidence, practice English and take centre stage!
Every Monday at 6.30PM we run FREE workshops for migrants and refugees at the Engine Room, a lovely community centre, 5 mins from Tottenham Hale.
Inspired by Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed, the sessions begin with simple theatre games, followed by exercises to facilitate storytelling, improvisation, physical and vocal exploration, personal creativity and expression. Participants will be working as an ensemble to create stories, devise original performances, and work on short texts.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, ALL LEVELS OF ENGLISH WELCOME
They have been supported by Arts Council England, Harnisch Foundation, LUSH, Haringey Welcome, Consonant and Haringey Festival of Learning.
Every Monday (excluding bank holidays) 6.30-8.30PM
